The Northern Echo Sunday Invitation League
Nestfield lost their 100 per cent record when they were held to a 3-3 draw against the Green Dragon in Division Two. Twice they came from behind to gain a point in a very entertaining game.

Smith and Allen suffered a 5-1 home defeat against Northern Spirit RA. Scorers for the RA were Dave Brown (2) and one each from David Tuschnick, Neil Pinkney and Bennett while Storey replied for Smith and Allen.
Second placed Hoppers Transport are now starting to ask questions of leaders Nestfield as they rattled nine goals past bottom side Hogans. Scorers for Hoppers were Brian Thornton, Darren Shooter and Ian Thompson, all with two apiece while Simon King and Nev Ford also got on the scoresheet. Paul Mulrooney capped a sparkling performance with a mazy run which left sprawling defenders trailing in his wake to net a cool strike. Alan Tweddle notched Hogans' consolation from the spot.
In Division Three, the only game to take place was AFC Orange against BA King's Head. Although it was 3-0 to King's Head it was a very evenly matched game with the visitors putting away their. Two goals from Kevin Hamilton and one from Jonathan Breakon were the scorers.
In Division One, four games took place. Busters had an easy 6-2 win over Brinkburn while Coundon remain the pacesetters as they overcame bottom club Copper Beech 3-0. It took until the 20th minute before Coundon found the net when Wayne Carr volleyed home while Rob Mazur and Darren Wilson got the second half goals.
After the previous week's humiliation against Jack Horners, Stooperdale played out a 1-1 draw against Springfield. Stephen Appleby was on target for Stooperdale and MoM Mark Jenkinson for Springfield.
Scania came up against Jack Horners who had a point to prove that the previous week's result was no fluke and on 15 minutes Neil Blewitt scored from a free-kick to put the Jacks in front. Lee Hammond equalised on 25 minutes only for Andy Vernon to put the Jacks 2-1 in front. Scania equalised on 40 minutes through Lee Jenkinson. The scoreline remained at 2-2 until the 85th minute when Scott Braithwaite put through his own goal to give Scania the lead. The Jacks threw everybody forward and they paid the price by leaving their defence open and Scania hit a fourth in injury time to seal a 4-2 win over the unlucky Jack Horners.
