A PUB'S music plans would turn Yarm into an "18-30s" town, it was claimed this week.
Campaigners now aim to fight the scheme which would see music being played until 11pm.
The Blue Bell pub at Egglescliffe has applied to Stockton council for an entertainment licence for music, singing and dancing until 11pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10.30 on Sundays.
Residents are worried about excess noise. One said there was already too much noise from the pub.
"The whole image of Yarm changes at night. It resembles an 18-30 resort rather than an historic town," he said. Other people have expressed concerns about parking.
The council is being recommended to approve the application provided there are noise assessments and doors and windows are kept shut
