Tow Law Area League
In the top of the table clash the leaders, Sunniside Moss Inn entertained second placed, Tow Law New Market B and went down in the decider to put three teams equal at the top. The singles were shared with Frank Jobling, John Neil and John Howe winning for the Moss while Stephen Umpelby, Phil Spencer and Doruis Elsbury replied. After the first two doubles were shared the new Market B went to victory when Phil Spencer and Stephen Umpelby beat Billy McClay and Gerrard Beveridge.
This title is now wide open with Esh Stag's Head, the Moss Inn and the New Market B all level at the top, while Tow Law Station and Billy Row Club are just a point behind.

Willington League
Willington Club visited league leaders, Oakenshaw Club and came back in the captain's game to force a draw, which leaves the home side six points clear of Cottles and eight ahead of the Prospect Club.
Oakenshaw had singles wins from Robert Jackson, Frankie Lythe and Michael Kitching while Micky Irwin and Alan Walker replied for the visitors. Ernie Plummer and Kenny Plumpton took the first doubles for Oakenshaw with Scott Little and Paul Tulip taking the second for Willington, who levelled the match when Steve Hutchinson beat Ernie Plummer in the captains game.

Willington and District League
Hunwick Club's lead at the top was cut to one point when they lost at home to Oakenshaw Club, who were never behind. Kenny Plumpton put the visitors ahead with Paul Maddison levelling. Mark Kitching restored the Oakenshaw lead only to see Alan Carr level. In the decider Oakenshaw's Tony Leighton beat Mike Jardine.
Hunwick Quarry Burn share second place with the Prospect Club, although both were beaten, while Oakenshaw Club moved into fourth spot.
