FUNDRAISERS for a County Durham hospice are organising events on St Patrick's Day and Mothering Sunday.
Both fundraising efforts will be held in aid of the work of the Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland.
A St Patrick's Day supper dance will take place at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Saturday, March 17, from 7.30pm.
This will feature 50/50 dancing to the Phil Tempest Duo. Tickets are on sale costing £4.50 and including a pie and peas supper.
There will also be a raffle during the evening.
On Sunday, March 25, mothers, aunts and grandmothers are all invited to take a step back in time for a visit to the Timothy Hackworth Victorian and Railway Museum, in Shildon.
All mothers, aunts and grandmothers who attend the event will be given a potted plant and scones, jam and cream and a tea or coffee.
Throughout the day, there will be a chance to see the Merlin steam locomotive in action.
Tickets cost £3.25 for adults, £2.50 for children and must be bought in advance. For tickets for either event, telephone (01388) 603003.
