STAFF at a supermarket have thanked everyone who helped raise hundreds of pounds for an autistic youngster.
Workers at Asda, in Bishop Auckland, are hoping to send two-year-old Ryan Baker to America for treatment.
Ryan's mother, Sandra, and her husband, David, hope the Options Institute in Massachusetts can help the youngster's development.
The store is hoping to raise £1,600 for the cause, and has already donated £200 to start the appeal running.
A further £600 has been raised with a bag-packing day, and the supermarket would like to thank all the customers who gave to the cause.
A sponsored walk, which was due to take place at the end of last month, was postponed because of the foot-and-mouth disease crisis.
It is hoped that can be rearranged for Sunday, March 21
