A JOBLESS teenager has admitted carrying out a drunken sex attack on a horse.
Eighteen-year-old Stephen Spalding was caught on security cameras as he assaulted the tethered animal on the way home from a night out.
He pleaded guilty yesterday to committing an act outraging public decency at Newcastle Crown Court, and will be sentenced in three weeks, following the preparation of reports.
Spalding admitted committing an act of a lewd, obscene and disgusting nature and behaving in an indecent manner with the horse, on September 8, last year.
He approached the animal as he returned from a drunken Saturday night out, and the horse was grazing on grass next to the Felling bypass, near Gateshead.
Spalding, who lives near the spot where the attack happened, was seen by a security guard operating CCTV cameras.
Spalding of Carlisle Court, Gateshead, was granted conditional bail until he is sentenced.
Judge William Crawford told him: "I have not made my mind up as to sentence at all.
