RESIDENTS are being asked to get involved in a clean-up operation in Hartlepool.
Spring Clean Hartlepool is a three-month blitz on rubbish, starting later this month.
The initiative, organised by the council's Pride in Hartlepool initiative, is part of the Tidy Britain Group's Just Bin It campaign.
It aims to improve the environment, with individuals, schools and businesses working to clean their neighbourhoods.
Pride in Hartlepool officer Ron Gosling said: "Pride in Hartlepool can provide help in the form of gloves, black sacks and litter pickers."
Residents from the town's Central Estate and Heortnesse Roads helped to launch the clean-up.
