Junior round-up
Billingham Wolves started their English Under-19 North championship play-offs with an 11-3 victory over Kingston Predators at the Forum Arena. It was a welcome win for Eagles over Kingston as they had lost to them twice in regular league games this season.
Stephen Wallace was Wolves goal hero, scoring the first seven goals. He opened their account at 13.24 but this was after the visitors had gone ahead in the seventh minute.
Kingston struck a second for a 2-1 first period lead.
Wallace tied the scores at 23.58 and a further four made it 6-2 after two periods. His seventh came eight minutes into the final period.
The visitors reduced the deficit with a third on the powerplay at 51.31. Shaun Buckley responded in less than 30 seconds and the scoring was completed with Andrew Wells (2) and Richie Thornton.

Billingham Wildcats are one point away from winning the Women's Division One North title after a 12-0 victory at Telford Wrekinn Raiders. Zoe Bayne opened the scoring at 16.03 and Rachel McCabe made it 2-0 before the first interval.
Bayne completed her hat-trick in the second as she added a further brace and Vicki Wallace and Jenny Carter increased the lead to 6-0 going into the final period. Six goals came in nine minutes as Wildcats reached the dozen mark. Bayne went nap and finished with 5+2 as Wildcats had 73 shots on Telford's goal. Beverley Hutchinson faced only eight shots for her shut-out.

Billingham Coyotes entertained Blackburn Merlins in the English Under-10 North League. The first period was close with Merlins taking a 2-0 lead.
The visitors upped the pace in the final session and were 9-0 ahead when James Rennie scored a late reply. There was only 16 seconds remaining.

Whitley Tomahawks had a four-point weekend following two wins in English Junior (Under-16) North A League. They began by defeating Sunderland Arrows 6-0 at Hillheads.
Tomahawks got off to a great start when Robert Wilson put them ahead at 1.18 and Ben Campbell hit a second 15 seconds later. D J Good continued the good start by grabbing a third at 2.21.
The middle period brought Whitley another three in six minutes by 29.07. The latter two coming on the powerplay. Good, Joe Stamp and Richard Dunn found the net. Stephen Hoult taking 13 shots for his shut-out.

On Sunday, Telford Rockets returned home pointless after losing 5-0 to Tomahawks. Powerplay goals at 2.32 and 2.42 from Claire Oldfield and Good started the goal tally. This was followed five minutes later by a Wilson goal.
Richard Dunn and Good took the score to 5-0 after two periods. There was no addition to the score in the final period. Rory Dunn had a 16-shot shut-out in the Whitley goal.

Whitley Arrows won 5-1 at Bradford Ice Knights in English Bantam (Under-12) North B League.
Nathan Taylor and Shaun Lee scored in as many minutes for 2-0 at 10.30.
By the break Daniel Murdy and Chris Gibson had doubled the lead. Callum Pattinson hit a fifth before Bradford's late strike
