SINGING classes for adults are proving to be such a hit that another musical extravaganza is about to start at Stockton Sixth Form College.
Drumbeat is a free ten-week course which covers basic percussion and group drumming techniques.
Martyn Cresswell, course tutor, who plays and performs with local drumming band Boogie Voodoo, said the course was ideal for adults who have hankered for years to play a musical instrument but who have not had the confidence.
He said: "When we have finished, everyone will be able to play some simple rhythms on a variety of percussion instruments.
"They'll be able to join in any musical activity with an understanding of what to do in an accompanying role.
"The most important thing is that they will enjoy the experience."
An enrolment evening is being held at the college on Tuesday at 7pm and Mr Cresswell will be on hand to answer questions.
