THE junior affiliated show held at Northallerton Equestrian Centre on February 17 produced a double win for Stacy Lincoln from Crook, writes Malcolm Bewsher.
Stacy won the junior open riding Bowes King Edward ahead of Sarah Cana on Milligan Hill and Brad Valks riding It's Only Money.
Stacey also took the members cup ahead of Jane Barker riding Rainbow Times. Jane, daughter of former Northallerton Olympic rider William Barker, clinched the foxhunter while Rachel Walker riding Aquarius Challenge took the newcomers ahead of Darren Smith from Stockton riding Little Moneypenny.
Fiona Lynburn clinched the British novice while the 10yrs and under was a joint win by Zoe Wilson, Alice McCullough and Maxwell Reed-Stephenson.
Several events have been cancelled due to the foot and mouth disease especially the junior premier show at Stainsby Grange, which it is hoped will be run on March 23-25.
British eventing has also taken advice from MAFF and some of the horse trials cancelled are Witton Castle, Co unty Durham (March 31/April 1) which will run later in 2001.
The Northern Dartmoor lunch due to be held on Sunday at the home of Colin and Margaret Furness has also been cancelled.
