A Hoggarth and Sons Eskvale and Cleveland League
A Inn have found fielding a settled team difficult and secretary Mark Baty has worked hard bringing in several new players. Their scoring record is poor with a heavy dependence on Mark Iseton who has netted 16 of their 26 league goals.
Boosbeck were flying before the Christmas break but since the turn of the year have suffered a lot of postponements and have only managed to collect four points. In Shane Breckon they have the league's leading scorer having netted 36 times in 19 league outings.
Brotton have again had problems with their administration which has cost them six points. On their day they are a capable team and demonstrated as much when they inflicted Grangetown's only league setback of the season. Goldsborough have had a mixed season, setting off with a long unbeaten run. Rob Clark and Stuart Marsey have shown they know the way to goal while their defence is always liable to concede goals which has led to some entertaining high-scoring games.
Grangetown are a much-changed team but again have no difficulty in scoring goals.
Simon Millington has had an outstanding season while youngsters Michael Meggison has weighed in with 12 league goals.
Great Ayton have relied heavily on youngster Richard Hore who has shown consistency this season netting 17 of their goals.
Grosmont are another team who have had a mixed season. John Libbey is their leading scorer while Keven Little has shown consistency at the centre of the defence.
Highland Laddie have shown rapid improvement since December when Steve Easton took over team matters and are unbeaten this year.
Hinderwell have had a difficult season, failing to collect a solitary point yet their spirits are high and credit should be given to Phil Nedley for ensuring the team is turned out and attempting to play good football.
Huntsman are still well placed in third position, although results in recent weeks have gone against them. Mark Evans has worked hard to build a settled squad.
Lealholm have proved to be a difficult team to beat and have operated with a small squad, progressing well in the Scarborough Junior Cup.
Lingdale are another team having a mixed season and since losing Thomas Holalob through injury have struggled to score sufficient goals. Mally Whitehead has turned in some eye catching performances.
Loftus Athletic are another team whom have had off-field difficulties with several players moving between themselves and Loftus YC.
Goalkeeper Jeff Morrison has turned in some good displays while the majority of goals have come form veterans John Barnard and Andy Crooks.
Loftus YC have turned in some good displays and have twice stretched Boosbeck, Dave Howse scoring 17 of their league goals.
Redcar Mackinlay Park are another side to find scoring a problem with only Anchor and Hinderwell scoring less.
Staithes have had an outstanding season in reaching the North Riding Cup final. Their league form is also good with the only defeat coming at Goldsborough early in the season. Their backlog of matches could well be a major problem. Glenn Smith has found the net 15 times in his first full season at this level.
