A SUPPORT group for carers of people with mental health problems has been established.
The Grange Day Care, in Eston, opened its doors to carers from Redcar and Cleveland last month, to provide them with space to share their experiences and support each other.
The group was established by Mental Health Matters, Redcar and Cleveland's carers' development worker, Sue Reeves, and Barbara Bailes, a local carer. It has funding from the Health Action Zone.
Sue Reeves said: "Carers are often not aware of what is available to them, including a carers' assessment. We hope that the group will help carers to find all the information and help they need."
Chris Woodings, of Mental Health Matters, is working with Ms Bailes to arrange the next meeting, set for March 28, from 7pm to 8.30pm. For more details, ring (01642) 466288
