STUDENTS will stage a celebration of words, poetry and stories within sight of bridges that have inspired them to write.
As part of the Gateshead Quays education programme, 200 pupils from local primary schools will take part in Spanner in the Words, on Tuesday, March 20, at the Gateshead Quays Visitor Centre, St Mary's Church, which overlooks the Tyne Bridge and Gateshead Millennium Bridge.
Led by storyteller Chris Bostock, the children will perform poems written in class, and write new ones, with the Millennium Bridge as an inspiration.
