DUNKING a teacher in custard and discovering the colour of Lenny Henry's pants are just two of the things a school has planned for Red Nose Day.
Students at Spennymoor School are going to great lengths to raise money for the event on Friday.
Sixth form pupils are selling red noses, and everyone is expected to wear as much red clothing on the day as possible.
Staff and students are taking part in a Scratch and Match lottery to find out the colour of Lenny Henry's pants.
But perhaps the highlight is a sweep everyone at the school has been taking part in since the beginning of the month.
Pupils pay to nominate a teacher to be covered in custard, and the unlucky candidate will be dunked at 3pm, on Friday.
A trek is planned later in the evening to the nearest Comic Relief centre to present the money raised.
