A multi-million pound housing development in North Durham could be approved - just weeks after another large-scale scheme was given the go-ahead.
Plans for 156 detached and semi-detached homes at Shield Row, Stanley, and 104 similar homes at Hamsterley will be discussed by councillors on Thursday.
Last month, Derwentside district councillors granted permission for 141 homes, expected to sell for a combined total of £10m, south of Villa Real Road, in Consett.
Bowey Homes and Dunelm Castle Homes have made a joint application to build 156 houses between the C2C cycle route and Tanfield Lea South Industrial Estate, at Shield Row, Stanley.
Principal planning officer Darren Cuming recommended councillors approve the application on condition that traffic concerns are dealt with.
The other plan is submitted solely by Bowey Homes.
Homes would be built next to Dane Engineering, in Hamsterley.
