A MAN was taken to hospital suffering from numerous injuries to his face and body after being assaulted by three men.
The attack happened as the 27-year-old was walking along Redcar High Street, in east Cleveland, with his wife and two friends, at about 11.30pm, on Saturday.
As they passed the Heron frozen food store, near Uptons, on their way to the town centre, they were approached by three young men.
They assaulted the man, inflicting several injuries to his face and body, before fleeing within a couple of minutes.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
His attackers are described as white, in their late teens to early 20s, and wearing sports clothing. One had a light-coloured baseball cap.
