A 27-YEAR-OLD was further remanded in custody by the Central Criminal Court yesterday, charged with the attempted murder of a North-East Jewish theology student.
Nabil Ould Eddine, of Highbury, North London, is accused of attempting to murder David Myers, 20, of Yeshiva College, Gateshead, on October 17, last year. He is due to appear in court again on April 4.
Mr Myers, a Hasidic Jewish student, was repeatedly stabbed while travelling on a bus while in Stamford Hill, North London, to see his parents in Finchley.
The attack is believed to have been prompted by his beard, skull cap and book of psalms as he travelled on the top deck of a bus, reading the psalms.
He was stabbed more than 20 times in the chest, face, arms and legs and was rushed to intensive care.
