A LONDON band was in the region yesterday to show young musicians the ropes.
The Magnets performed to a capacity audience at Haughton Community School in Darlington, County Durham, as part of a nationwide schools tour.
When they are not performing and teaching youngsters, the band, whose brand of singing as been described as "unique", have appeared on national television on A Star for the Night and A Song for Europe.
The six young men who make up the Magnets are promoting their new single, which will be released on April 5.
Headteacher Sheila Potter said that she was proud that Haughton Community School, recently awarded arts college status, had been chosen to host this event in Darlington.
Following the concert in front of year nine pupils, 30 students joined in singing workshops with The Magnets
