A pub has had a planning application for extensions and extra car parking turned down by borough council planning officers.
The Travellers' Rest, at Otley Road, Killinghall, in Harrogate, wanted to demolish a barn and replace it with a side and rear extension. They also wanted to develop a patio, two front porches and additional parking.
Planners said the existing access was unsatisfactory and it would interfere with the flow of traffic on the Skipton to Harrogate road as well as the Killinghall-Otley road. They also said the design would harm its traditional character
