COACH drivers in Durham are being encouraged to take a week's break in London to combat staff shortages on the capital's buses.
It was the brainchild of Durham Travel Services, which has taken over the 185 route between Victoria and Lewisham.
The firm is inviting its Durham drivers to stay in London and take a stint on the 185.
A spokesman said: "Drivers on our National Express duties can elect to stay in London for a week and drive on the 185."
