A GRAPHIC design student has designed a new logo for part of a Government department.
Ross Clarke put together the logo for the commercial services division (CSD) of the Department for Education and Employment as part of a challenge set for students at Cleveland College of Art and Design.
A CSD spokesman said: "We have recently undergone an internal reorganisation where two divisions were merged to form the CSD, providing procurement and facilities management service to the department. The division needed a logo as part of its rebranding."
Doug Ferguson, programme leader at the college, set the task for his HND graphic design students.
The CSD spokesman said: "Ross's design was a clear favourite. His logo met every requirement of the brief, is already in use, and has been very well received by everyone involved."
Ross received a gift token and a certificate to mark his achievement
