VOLUNTEERS are needed to help run an essential service in North Tees General Hospital.
The book trolley service will start its rounds in May, taking books to patients.
Stockton Borough Council is working with the town's Voluntary Development Agency to recruit people to run the service.
Volunteers, who will be supported by hospital librarian Shelagh Sims, are needed to select stock and push the trolleys.
Anyone with half-a-day a fortnight to spare to help the service should call (01642) 355292.
