A COMMUNITY will lose its link with a popular charity this spring.
The Alzheimer's Society will be shutting up shop in Colburn next month when the lease on its premises comes to an end.
"We always knew the owner had other plans for the shop and we would like to thank him for all his help over the last two years," said spokeswoman, Liz Dawson, yesterday.
The charity, which operates a day centre in Olav Road, Richmond, is looking for as replacement in the town.
"We'll consider anything where we could set up a temporary base. We can be out within a week if necessary," said Ms Dawson.
Anyone who can help can contact the charity by telephoning (01748) 825817.
