A TEAM from the sponsors of the Redcar Half Marathon is starting to feel the heat as race day approaches.
Six firefighters from Enron's Asset Protection Team at Wilton International are taking up the challenge of the race and will be raising money for the official charity - the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Middlesbrough.
The team is using new gym equipment at the Teesside site as a sure-fire way to get fit. Kevin Westwood, technical manager of Enron's Asset Protection Team, said he was looking forward to the race.
"We've all been out building our running distances and times and now it's just a case of seeing how fast we can complete the race on the day.
"All firefighters have to adhere to a strict fitness policy and because I've been training on top of this, I'm pretty confident of doing well."
The Redcar Half Marathon takes place on Sunday.
