A CHARITY is offering gardeners the chance to get top tips on creating beautiful hanging baskets.
The Durham Appeals Committee of the Children's Society is staging an expert demonstration to help enthusiasts turn baskets and trough into a blaze of colour.
Meg Smith, of Foxwood Garden Centre, Chester Moor, near Chester-le-Street, will give an illustrated talk, Baskets and Troughs for Summer, at St Aidan's Church Hall, Framwellgate Moor, Durham, on Thursday, April 5, at 7.30pm.
Proceeds will go to support the charity's work with young people.
Tickets cost £4 (concessions £3) from Durham Tourist Information Centre, Market Place, or on 0191-386 5741 or 0191-378 2779.
