A TUDOR-style dolls' house is to be put up for auction to raise money for a community centre.
Mr Steve Lucas built the black-and-white house it as a one-off project and has partly furnished it with items he has made - if the buyer wishes, he will make extra furniture.
The house, which stands 30in high, 45in wide and 22in deep, has already impressed one prospective buyer who put in the first bid of £200.
But Mr Lucas, who lives at St Vincent's Terrace, Cockfield, hopes to see that figure topped. He is standing as a prospective candidate, at the moment unopposed, for election as chairman of the village community association next week, following the retirement of Mr David Prior after 11 years.
He plans to use cash raised by the auction to help fund some new ideas.
Entry to the sale, which is on Sunday, April 1 (11am), is by £2 ticket, the proceeds of which will also go towards the centre; for more details, ring 01388 710808.
