THE RSPCA has seized three wild birds together with bird trapping equipment from a house in County Durham.
A greenfinch, a siskin and a linnet were discovered after a raid on a house in Byers Green, Spennymoor, on Tuesday, along with five traps and other equipment.
A middle-aged man is expected to be questioned by RSPCA inspectors soon and further enquiries are continuing.
The raid is the latest in a series of investigations aimed at cracking down on the illegal trade of wild birds
