DRAMA students have got round the problem of presenting two plays at the same time.

Teenage set designers have invented a custom-built revolving stage, divided into two sets.

The A-level drama group at Stokesley School came up with the stage idea when they were set the challenge of combining two of John Godber's most successful plays, Bouncers and Shakers.

The plays take a comic look at the stagnant lives of cocktail waitresses and bouncers working in a northern town, which the youngsters have chosen to portray as Middlesbrough.

The 25-strong group not only perform, but have taken on roles as costume designers, lighting and sound technicians, publicity officers and set designers for the production, at school, on April 3 and April 5.
