Pianist Alexander Amatosi will perform a concert at the University of Durham at the end of the month.
Mr Amatosi, one of the county's foremost interpreters of Carl Orff's piano works, is playing at the university's school of music in Palace Green, Durham, next Saturday, at 7pm.
Violinist David McCourt will play selections of Bach and there will be a world premier of Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez.
There will also be vocal selections from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Scarlatti Piano Sonatas and choral music by female choir Sweet Magenta.
The concert will climax with a new reconstruction of Carl Orff's Piano Sequences: Resurrection, played by Mr Amatosi.
Tickets cost £2.50 and £3.50 and can be bought at the door.
The proceeds of the concert will go to the Marie Curie Cancer Research Fund and Snug, a drama group for children with physical disabilities.
