PEARSONS is continuing to strengthen its marketing communications division after winning an account with CTC Marine Projects.
Middlesbrough-based Pearsons was chosen by the Darlington subsea fibre optics company to help celebrate the launch of its new ship, Ocean Challenger, at the National Maritime Museum in London.
The company will use the £30m vessel to lay undersea fibre optic cables.
Pearsons was contracted for the design and production of all promotional literature, such as invitations, brochures, corporate gifts and informative display stands to be used at the museum.
Karen Large, director of Pearsons marketing communications division, said: "This was an exciting and unique account win for us and we are delighted with the results.
"Not only does CTC Marine account further strengthen our growth and success as a marketing service provider, but also demonstrates the capabilities of our highly skilled creative team.
"Investment of more than £220,000 in new communications and design technology over the past two years has seen Pearsons marketing client base grow on the strength of its capacity to send artwork worldwide from the heart of Middlesbrough."
A spokesman for CTC Marine said: "The introduction of Ocean Challenger was a highly significant event for CTC, and the professional and creative input of Pearsons made sure that the event went with a bang."
Founded in 1986 by Simon Pearson, Pearsons has become the North's fastest growing marketing and communications agency, and has seen a 30 per cent increase in business in the past 12 months alone.
Pearsons' e-communications division recently celebrated the launch of its website www.sector1.net which publicises public sector jobs in the North to potential employees all over the world.
