A HISTORY group is appealing for residents to take part in Hartlepool's 800th charter celebrations.
As part of the celebrations the Headland Local History Group is putting on a local and family history fair.
The group would like residents of Hartlepool to take part in the celebrations by submitting a piece of work based on one day in their life.
The day might be special for any reason.
The item of work, which has to be one side of A4 and about 250 to 300 words, will be displayed in the Borough Hall, on the Headland.
Kevin Kelly, chairman of the group, said: "This is the first time our group has held such an event, and we will be looking to attract a lot of people to the Headland.
"We hope that families may take the opportunity to visit our fair and sample the delight of the rest of the Headland."
The fair will be held in the Borough Hall, on Saturday June 9, from 11am to 4pm.
The items of work can be left for Mr Kelly in any branch library in the town, until the end of April.
