A COUPLE were jailed yesterday after admitting selling more than £1,000 of heroin to undercover police officers.
Christopher Craigens, 27, and Lisa Macrae, 22, of Boscombe Gardens, Hemlington, near Middlesbrough, admitted selling the drug diamorphine in December last year.
Craigens also admitted a charge of conspiring to sell heroin and Macrae admitted being in possession of heroin with intent to supply, possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class B drug.
Rod Hunt, for the couple, said Craigens had become involved in supplying the drug to feed his own habit, and Macrae, who was not a user, had only sold the heroin when her boyfriend was ill.
Macrae was jailed for 12 months and Craigens for three-and-a-half years.
Judge Peter Fox ordered that £2,350 found in the home the couple shared should be forfeited, and scanners and drugs found in their house should be destroyed.
