A RETIRED headmaster is about to hold his first art exhibition.
Keith Anthony of Chester-le-Street, a former headteacher in Newcastle, will display his artwork at Stanley Civic Hall from next Tuesday, to Friday, April 27.
"It is unnerving baring one's efforts in such a way," he said. "It's a big difference to casually showing friends your latest piece of work."
Mr Anthony, who is originally from Wales, said that the exhibition's title, Mixed Bag, is supposed to suggest that it is an ad hoc collection of different pieces worked over the last 20 years.
He has not received any formal tuition since he failed O-Level art in 1963, but does have a piece of sculpture displayed in the library of Derwentside's twin town Werdhol in Germany.
