A business which works to help foreign firms set up in the UK has been named as the Tees Valley's best young company.
Frontier Europe, run by three 20-year-olds, is based in Brunswick Street, Stockton.
It supports businesses outside the EU who want to move their market into the UK or other European countries.
The company employs ten staff and has reached profitability in less than a year.
As well as being involved in electronic communications, Frontier Europe is green, and offers a bonus for workers who travel on public transport.
Business partners Scott Wayne, Gillian Magee and Glenn Turner were awarded £1,000 in the Tees Valley final of the Shell Livewire Young Business Start up Awards.
The three will now go on to the Northern finals and could end up in the national finals.
Michael Sisterson, 30, came second in the competition after taking over a former bakers in Darlington. He already supplies other bakers. Middlesbrough creative advertising and design company Ellahi and Pinkney Ltd came third
