YOUNGSTERS are being urged to eat more healthily and have fun at the same time.
Several events have been lined up by the school dinners service in Sunderland to mark National School Meals Week, which starts on Monday.
These include competitions to design a mouse mat - the prize is computer software - puzzles and word searches.
Area catering manager Ann Escritt said: "We are aiming to educate children into adopting a healthier lifestyle, by encouraging them to eat a balanced diet. They'll be having fun at the same time."
