SOME of the North-East's finest singers hope to strike a chord with Wear Valley music lovers next week.
Opera Nova, which was formed more than 30 years ago, has earned a reputation for its performance of modern and classical works.
The group will be making their first visit to Bishop Auckland on Saturday, April 7, when they perform an Evening of Viennese Operetta. Music by Johann Strauss and Lehar will be included.
For tickets, (£5 or £4 concessions) ring Bishop Auckland Town Hall on (01388) 602610.
