Roseberry Sunday Invitation League
Champions Roseberry gained two wins, without conceding a goal, in their bid to retain the crown.
They had a 2-0 win over Norton and a similar success against Guisborough.
Following a goalless first-half against Norton, Roseberry were much improved in the second period and finally broke the deadlock through Trish Alderson, the opening created by Rowena Simpson.
A second goal soon followed following good passing from Charlotte Drury and Sarah McDonald, the move was finished by Nicky Carpenter.

Roseberry, as against Norton, took the initiative in the second period after a goalless first-half against Guisborough. Sarah McDonald gave Roseberry the lead from a well-worked penalty corner routine. A precise pass from 14-year-old Lindsey Henry gave Trish Alderson the opportunity to complete Roseberry's victory.
Title contenders Stockton gained a 3-2 victory against Mackinlay. Stockton opened strongly and dominated the opening 15 minutes, although they started a player short.
Defiant Mackinlay were finally broken down by a shot from Caroline Jones and a second goal soon followed with Jones playing a key role, her pass from outside the circle nudged home by Kath Iley.
Stockton opened a three-goal advantage when Jones crossed for captain Emma Renwick to score from a rebound after keeper Nikki Tucker stopped the initial shot.
Mackinlay fought back admirably in the second-half and it took excellent defensive work and skilful keeping from Stockton's Terri Martin to keep them at bay. However, the Mackinlay pressure was finally rewarded with a goal from Michelle Leibrick and six minutes from the end Sue Mason scored from a penalty corner.
The remainder of the game was tense with Stockton clinging to their lead.

Stokesley, needing a win over Guisborough to stay in title contention, were held to a goalless draw.
Stokesley were awarded a penalty corner in the second-half but keeper Claire Giles made an excellent save.
