YORKSHIRE 10K champion Rob Holladay underlined his emergence as one of the region's leading road racers with a clear victory in Sunday's Enron Redcar Half Marathon.
The 26-year-old Guisborough PE teacher, who scored his second victory in the Loftus Pountry Run at Christmas, used the event as part of his build-up to next month's Flora London Marathon. The win followed hard on the heels of 30km and 20-mile road race successes out of the area.
"I am going pretty well and everything seems to be building up nicely for London," said Rotherham-born Holladay, who moved to Cleveland three years ago.
Second placed was Terry Wall, who could do nothing to prevent his Morpeth clubmate winning by nearly a minute-and-a-half in 68 mins 1 sec.
