TWO exhibitions have opened at the Margrove Heritage Centre in Guisborough to mark its new season.
The centre was closed for the winter but reopened its doors yesterday to anyone interested in the Victorian age.
A child's eye view of life in Victorian times has been created using objects and photographs from the Redcar and Cleveland Council Museum's Service.
An authentic 1840s room in a country cottage has been recreated as part of the exhibition.
A map of Guisborough's sewerage and water system of the day is also on display as well as a collection of Commondale pottery and models of houses from the town's Westgate.
In a separate exhibition, a collection of black and white landscape photos are on show in the Heritage Centre.
The shots, by college lecturer Graham Lowe, include images of the North York Moors, Scotland and the Lake District.
Greetings cards based on the photos are on sale at the centre.
The centre is open Monday to Thursdays from 10am to 4.30pm and on Sundays from noon until 5pm.
