TEENAGERS with a sense of adventure are being offered the chance to travel to Russia this summer.
Durham County Council's international office is organising an exchange visit with 15 young people from Durham's twin city, Kostroma.
The Russian teenagers will visit England in June, and youngsters from Durham will then visit the Russian city in August.
They will meet their exchange partners and stay at a summer camp with teenagers from all over Russia.
Joy Grenyer, from the council's international office, said: "We're looking for 15 to 16-year-olds with a sense of adventure and a desire to travel and make new friends.
"While in Russia, they will be able to visit Moscow, take part in a full programme of activities and have the opportunity to learn some Russian."
The exchange costs £230 and includes return air fare from Newcastle to Moscow, coach travel in Russia, full board accommodation and excursions.
A meeting will be arranged after Easter for those interested.
