ONE of the area's newest Internet businesses has seen trade increase since the start of the foot-and-mouth outbreak.

Durham City company longenough.com has had calls from farmers' wives across the country wanting to buy fashion clothing.

The firm supplies clothes for tall women.

Owner Jill Gibson said: "My last four orders have come from people on farms.

"It does seem as though the Internet has become a vital lifeline for these farming families as they try to carry on a normal life."
