A COURSE to tempt former nurses back into the profession has proved so successful that it is being repeated.
The success of its first nursing refresher course has prompted South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust to embark on another.
Lasting four days, the scheme is aimed at registered nurses and midwives, as well as staff working outside the National Health Service. It is run from Middlesbrough's South Cleveland Hospital.
Course spokeswoman Bev Walker said: "Like every other trust, we do have nursing vacancies but, fortunately, we also have a pretty good retention rate."
The next course, on which places are limited, runs from April 24 to 27. For details, contact (01642) 854610.
