A TEENAGER had £5,500 worth of crack cocaine for sale when police raided a house, a court heard yesterday.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was in a house in Middlesbrough with several others when officers raided the building last July, Teesside Crown Court heard.
The court heard how the teenager, and another youngster, were found in the utility room and told to put their hands on their heads.
Ray Priest, prosecuting, said the youngster dropped an envelope, which was found to contain the drug.
Mr Priest said: "The street value of these drugs was £5,500."
The boy also had 15 pieces of cannabis resin in his trousers.
Mr Priest said the teenager had admitted a charge of being in possession of cannabis with intent to supply, earlier this year.
John Walker, for the teenager, said no fingerprints from his client had been found on either the envelope or a set of scales.
The youngster denies possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply.
The trial continues.
