A MAN who had drug-fuelled sex with two under-age girls was sentenced to a year in jail yesterday - after the judge heard that he had not corrupted them.
Both the girls which Paul Christopher Holt, 33, met were regular users of cannabis, while the older girl had been put on the contraceptive pill by her mother at the age of 12, the court was told yesterday.
Holt, of Dixon Court, Selby, North Yorkshire, was originally charged with raping the older girl, but later admitted two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, two of supplying cannabis and one of indecent assault.
Mr Justice Bennett, who was sitting at London's High Court, sentenced Holt to 12 months in prison, saying he gave him credit for his guilty plea, and accepted that the acts did not represent a pattern of sexual abuse.
The judge told the court how Holt had invited the pair back to his house in June last year, where they all smoked cannabis, and went to bed together.
Holt had sex with the 14-year-old, and indecently assaulted the 12-year-old, said the judge. He later had sex again with the older girl as she slept.
David Martin-Sperry, for Holt, told the court that the girls were regular users of cannabis and added that there was no question of corruption.
