A TEENAGER will appear in court this morning charged with trying to rob a County Durham store with a 10in knife.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of threatening staff at the Village Store, Sacriston, near Durham, on Wednesday night.
He is charged with seven offences including robbery, affray, and carrying an offensive weapon.
The youth is expected to appear before magistrates at Chester-le-Street this morning.
