The incident happened at about 10pm on Tuesday, when the 21-year-old was approached by two men in Brabourn Gardens, Hemlington, Middlesbrough.
They pushed her up against a garden fence, grabbed her purse, then indecently assaulted her. The men, both in their early 20s, got away with more than £40 in cash. Although the woman was not physically hurt, she was left extremely shocked and upset.

Sergeant Chris Garner, of Middlesbrough Police, said: "This incident has now left the woman feeling vulnerable and afraid of going out on her own."
