Darlington Gymnastics Club is restructuring to help move the club into the 21st century. It has elected Brian Everett as vice-president to spearhead a business plan for the short, medium and long-term future of the club.
The long-term aim is to raise the performance level of the club so that it becomes a centre of excellence and generates gymnasts who will compete for places in the national squad.
Areas under development include membership structure, accommodation, coaching structure, marketing, publicity and fund raising.
Following the success of a Christmas bag pack at Morrisons, North Road, which enabled the club to buy new competition leotards, there will be an Easter bag pack at Morrisons, Morton Park on April 14 from 9am to 4pm.
There will be leaflets available with details of the club on the day. For further information contact Fiona Austen (coach) on (01325) 242072 or Julie Corner, secretary, on (01325) 483732.
