A 200-STRONG choir will take part in this year's Last Night of the Proms event at a North-East leisure centre.
The concert, organised by Music for Darlington, attracts people from all over the region.
This year's Proms evening, which takes place at the Dolphin Centre, Darlington, on Saturday, May 19, will be headed by The Normandy Band of the Queen's Division.
They will be backed by a choir drawn from the Darlington Choral Society, Gainford Choral, Richmond Choral, Stanhope Choral, Elm Ridge Methodist Choir, The Meltones and the Richardson Singers.
On the preceding evening, the Dolphin Centre will host Promenade for Youth, with 200 young musicians from across the North-East.
Tickets for both shows are available from the centre, and Williams the Music People, in Darlington.
