PRIME Time Recruitment's move to Hartlepool will boost demand for skilled workers across the region.

Prime Time will become the first national agency to bring its expertise to the town.

The Hartlepool branch will network job opportunities alongside its branches in Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle to open up greater opportunities to workers across the North-East.

Brent Pitcher, the agency's Northern operations director, said: "This investment trend on Teesside was strengthened when our client base in Middlesbrough doubled in just three years, and has led to our clients demanding Prime Time expands its physical presence to Hartlepool.

"By offering candidates the highest standard of one-to-one training for recognised industry qualifications, career development opportunities and specialised training in a number of sectors including the food and electronics industries, we are reflecting our confidence in the people of Hartlepool who have consistently proved that they are successful, reliable and loyal.

"Hartlepool has fought hard to bring unemployment to its lowest level for 20 years and we intend to build on this with further job creation for job seekers as well as bringing new skills and advice to the job market in Hartlepool.

"With recent investment from companies such as TMD Friction, the car brake pad manufacturers and Heerema, offshore construction firm, the need for skilled workers in the area is increasing and we have been approached by a number of clients to offer Prime Time's individual service in Hartlepool."

Paul Garner, who is on the Hartlepool team, said: "Hartlepool's current economic resurgence includes the recent development of the marina with massive investment from new companies such as Pizza Hut and Warner Village and plans for further investment from London-based companies like Prestbury Group.

"It's a very exciting time to join Prime Time and I'm looking forward to working with its highly experienced regional and national management team."

Prime Time has more than 100 branches and 400 staff across the country.
