BOOKING has opened for a North-East theatre and arts centre's summer season.
From May to September, there will be a variety of entertainment at Darlington Civic Theatre and Arts Centre.
The musical What a Feeling, which is on at the theatre from May 15, covers three decades of music from shows and films of the 70s, 80s and 90s, including songs from Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Fame, Mama Mia and Dirty Dancing.
Children will not be disappointed as Happy Birthday Postman Pat and a production of The Borrowers, both at the theatre, have been included.
The summer repertory season at the theatre will feature drama such as Rebecca, Educating Rita and Alan Ayckbourn's Table Manners.
Meanwhile, the arts centre has a programme of films including the Oscar-nominated Billy Elliot, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Castaway.
Music for varying tastes will be available at the arts centre, including folk, blues and jazz.
Piano legend Alan Price will be tinkling the ivories, in June, and songwriter Charlie Landsborough will be making his Darlington debut, in May.
For those who enjoy a laugh, the arts centre has gathered performers such as John Shuttleworth and Jenny Eclair, while comedian Billy Pearce is appearing at the theatre, in May.
Information and tickets are available from the arts centre reception and the theatre box office, from 9am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday.
